Greetings good people. Pardon the extended absence. Seems like all free time is spent cooking, sleeping, or snowboarding these days (I know, I know...)

The decently relevant news of late is that I have (finally) booked a legitimate gig at Room 5 on La Brea in LA. Visited the venue for the first time about a week ago - really cool spot. I’m excited to come demo a few songs (they just got a piano in there which I plan on hammering into submission until it’s no longer in tune)

If you can make it out on the 15th, please come. In trying to have some fun with it, I tried to turn the gig into a toga... er.... concert in celebration of the Ides of March. Apparently the other acts didn’t think many people would get the Shakespeare reference... to combat this I’m laying out an offer to COVER YOUR COVER if you come dressed in legitimate Roman garb (i.e. a TOGA complete with olive leaf crown) Who’s going to be the brave soul?

Happy (late) New Year to all! Perhaps I should start by simply saying thank you to all who have shown a tremendous amount of support for the release of the Altitude EP and just generally for my limited efforts in 2007. I am hoping this next year will bring even more new songs, shows, friends, and joy.

Just wanted to drop a quick update that I am planning on “heading back into the studio” (this really is such an overused misnomer by musicians) in the next couple of months and have a couple of side projects I am working on that will bring some new flavors and sounds that you will hopefully enjoy.

With the Cowboys out of the playoff hunt (and that’s ALL I will mention about the subject), I am assuming that my focus will return back to it’s proper places. Please keep checking back in, providing feedback, and keeping your ears tuned to the Nathan Winston channel of occasionally new music.

Just a quick update to let you know that all you folks trying to save space around the house in 2008, the Altitude EP is now available on iTunes as well as CD Baby. I’m in the process of a few new songs and will be trying to bring more music sugar to your future ears.

In the meantime, please keep checking in for new stuff on the myspace profile and come be my digital friend if you aren’t already.

Have a great transition from 2007 - I hope the next 365 days will be even better (or at least just better) than the last group!

Thank you, thank you for all the good folks that came out for the Fort Worth CD Release party. What a great night! Many thanks as well to the fellas from The Roustabouts - what an effort for those guys to learn four new songs and then perform them live within a span of three hours.

On a related note - the Altitude EP is now officially available online at CD Baby. The album should be available on iTunes and other digital music services within the next few weeks. I’ll keep you posted!

The CD release party in Texas is coming up in  just a few short weeks and I’d like to toss in that Mahonie will again be joining for the hometown show! It’s going to be a great night. Hope everyone in the area can make it out. I’m looking forward to see all of you!

The Relay For Life was awesome! Thanks to Maria, Chuck and all the kind folks that were so gracious to me. Very much my pleasure...

In other 3rd coast news - a CD RELEASE party has just been nailed down (airline tickets and everything) for Saturday December 1st in Fort Worth at the always reliable Moon Bar on Berry Street. Hope to see all of you there that can make it.

The Altitude EP will be available to purchase for $5 for all interested parties (and I do hope all parties will be interested). I’m very excited to see you all. Mark your calendars for a great night of music and good times.

Greetings at long last. I just wanted to give a quick news drop that I’ve been asked to come play at a Relay For Life event in Glendale, CA put on by the American Cancer Society on Saturday the 29th. If you’re around the area, come out for some great music and a great cause. Details are getting nailed down at the moment. Check out the Live page for specifics as they become available.

Progress! The project has finally reached the print company and will only be a short while now until the Altitude EP is here! I’m so excited and just plain READY for you to hear it. I’m also looking to schedule a show or two in Texas in the coming months to support the release. I hope to see you lovely midwest people there.

I’ve added a couple of new songs to the myspace player just for fun. Nothing special - just a quick recording or two from along the way. Hope you enjoy it.
